Butternut Squash Soup Shots

My studio class had the opportunity to photograph for Chowgirls - a food catering company out of Minneapolis. Our class was broken down into groups of two or three and each group was given a season to portray in their photograph. My group consisted of Ally Wurts, Jamie Scott and myself and we chose to photograph butternut squash soup shots under the Fall menu. Thanks goes out to my group members for the hard work. Thanks also goes out to Chowgirls and our instructor, Sarah Whiting, for providing the opportunity. Check out the Chowgirls website at http://www.chowgirls.net/. Enjoy!

William Blake's "The Chimney Sweeper"

I have to do a creative assignment for my literature midterm (one of the joys of going to an art school). I present it tomorrow. I chose to do a photographic representation of a young chimney sweeper inspired by William Blake's poem entitled, "The Chimney Sweeper," in both Songs of Innocence and Songs of Experience. Thanks goes out to my little cousin, Sammy, for sitting in the photograph and allowing me to wipe soot all over his face and body. He did a great job huh? Enjoy.
