Steve A.K.A. The Wreath Man A.K.A. The Bum

Perhaps some of you remember this portrait I made of Steve Bergsten, A.K.A. The Wreath Man, back in early 2012?

Well ever since he made it on the news and referred to himself as a "professional bum", he has been giving out prints of my image above signed, "The Bum". Below is a signed print that the Poplar Warehouse has on display on one of their checkout counters. Puts a smile on my face!

Curtis & Shana Schroeder | June 6, 2015

Congratulations to Curtis and Shana Schroeder on their marriage as of last Saturday, June 6, 2015!

I was given the wonderful privilege to break the ice with my first wedding of 2015 in Mount Vernon, Wisconsin. It's been a few years since I have drove through the middle of Wisconsin. I forget how beautiful the rolling country is - definitely a treat. Curtis and Shana had their ceremony and reception at and around Shana's family horse farm. It is here that Shana was raised and grew a deep love and appreciation for horses. It also happens to be the place where Curtis proposed. I hope you all will enjoy this tease from their wedding day.

Thanks again, Curtis and Shana Schroeder, for letting me be such a huge part of your special day. I truly hope the best for you two as you move to Indiana to pursue your careers!

Matt & Morgan Faust | June 14, 2014

Congratulations to Matt and Morgan on their coming together as husband and wife.

I am so glad that they asked me to be their wedding photographer. For those of you who don't know, Matt and I used to snowboard and film together for Bald E-gal Productions about 5 or 6 years ago. It's been a long time already. Although it had been a while since I had seen him or Morgan before their engagement shoot, I still remember when they were just getting to know one another and Matt was showing off photos of Morgan that were on her Facebook page and bragging about how hot she was... and now they are married.

It was great seeing so many familiar faces that brought back memories from when I rode my snowboard over 100 days of the year. I hope you will all enjoy a selection of some of my favorite images from the day. Thanks for looking!

I spy a farm cat.

It was so windy out that Morgan's veil flew off her head a few times throughout the day.

Matt about to see Morgan for the first time on their wedding day.

It was raining outside and so we moved a few of the tables in the reception space so I could set up my flash for some portraits and everyone watched and cheered as Matt and Morgan showed us their most passionate kiss.

The Officiant was one classy fellow.

Gotta show some of those candid on-camera flash moments!

Photo bomb in the back!

And then things got out of control...

The rain settled and the clouds began to clear for a while after the reception and so we went outside to shoot a few more photos up on the hill. Matt and Morgan are a very laid-back couple. Although the weather was not in their favor, it did not seem to phase them even the slightest bit. Later that night, I drove home from Hudson in such heavy rain that I could hardly see out my windshield.

Once again, thank you so much, Matt and Morgan, for allowing me to be a part of your special day. I had a blast!
