Mark F. Heiman has worked in web technology at Carleton College since 94, where he is now Senior Web Application Developer. He also runs a publishing company on his spare time called, Loomis House (named after his homes original builder), focusing primarily on folk music related themes.
Mark built the library (pictured below) from scratch within roughly a three month period. The space used to be a kitchen and bathroom when the house was first built in 1856 by George Loomis, brother-in-law of John North (founder of Northfield). The house was turned into an apartment building in the 1950's. Mark bought the house in 95 and began his own renovations. He now lives there with his wife, Laura, and kids: Eleanor and Oliver. The library consists of approximately 3,000 books, a hidden door that leads to the basement, and a pull down movie screen toward the end of the room that they refer to as the "Movie Palace".

Thanks goes out to Mark, Eleanor, and Oliver for being so cooperative. Thanks also goes out to Laura and my fiance, Sara, for making us a fantastic meal afterwards.
Another special thanks goes out to Christopher Broll for his assistance in post production of the first image.
